Hauled Waste Program Q&A
Where is the Hauled Waste Site located?
The Hauled Waste Site is located at 2015 Neyland Drive.
The entrance to the site is just east of the railroad track at the west end of the Kuwahee Wastewater Treatment Plant across the street from the concrete company.
When is the Hauled Waste Site open?
The Hauled Waste Site is open every day of the year between 6am to 8pm.
This schedule is subject to change during the University of Tennessee Football home games as the Hauled Waste Site may close a few hours prior to kick-off.
What happens if a waste hauler spills domestic waste onsite?
Waste haulers are responsible for cleaning the site if waste is accidentally spilled on the ground.
Water is provided on-site for cleaning spilled waste.
Waste haulers are required to notify the Kuwahee Control Room at (865) 594-7622 if they witness or cause a spill.
What if a valve at the Hauled Waste Site fails to open or is damaged?
Waste haulers must call the Kuwahee Control Room at (865) 594-7622 to report any issues concerning the control valve.
How does the valve open at the Hauled Waste Site?
Each permitted truck is assigned a Security Access Number (SAN) during the permitting process.
SAN codes are not allowed to be shared as referenced in Section 11 of the Hauled Waste Program Requirements.
